Influencer @chaplinfamilylifeinspain posted a video on social media where she explains how she has adapted to Spain and how much her perspective on the way people live has changed. “Most people think Spanish culture is sunshine, siestas, and sangria.”
She explains that while many assume Spanish culture revolves around siestas, sunshine, and sangria, her real-life experience proved otherwise. “I knew things would be different, but I didn’t anticipate how deeply the way of life would shift,” she admits. She highlights Spain’s strong social atmosphere—where it’s normal to see kids playing late at night or friends lingering over coffee for hours. “It goes beyond politeness—it’s about genuine connection,” she emphasizes.
In Spain, it’s true that there is more flexibility in schedules than in other countries, whether it’s going out to play, going to the movies, or simply having dinner. This doesn’t mean that living in Spain means leading a lazy life where stress dominates you. “It’s about people first,” she pointed out in the video.
Therefore, with this video, the influencer wants to show that Spain isn’t just about tapas and late dinners, but that the most important thing is the connection and respect people have for each other.
