1. They did the thing? After years of yelling about them going to do something youd expect it to be a bluff but they actually called it.

   Thats crazy, if they actually did the thing now Bibi’s fucked, after h gets got Israel will either be unable to form a goberment, elect a more moderate one or (most likely) elect a more extremist settlerist one that may get exiled internationally. Either way this may be the begining of the end of the war

2. As much as I would like to see Bibi’s coalition collapse, it won’t happen. This is just posture because they know how deeply unpopular the exemption is with the society at large. Hundreds of IDF members were killed or wounded in Gaza, and even Bibi can’t sell the idea that those lazy jobless leeches should somehow be exempted from defending the country.

   Their best shot is scaring Bibi into whipping the entire coalition into voting for that turd of a bill, which he can’t because of how unpopular that bill is. Rock, meet hard place.
