  5. Yes, this will impact the red states the most. But SOMEONE has to feed the leopards.

    Remember that coal states furiously rejected Obama’s attempts to diversify their economies, and that Biden’s IRA helped promote renewable energy initiatives in red states even more than blue states. This is not only self-inflicted, they vehemently demanded it.

    there are so many arbitrage opportunities in Texas, there is real money to be made, it is so much easier to build and interconnect, that Texas may go fully renewable simply because it makes financial sense. Other red states will look to Texas in awe, maybe they will follow – again since it tends to be easier to build in red states, they will make more progress.

  9. Energy demand is on the rise, so price increases will be there regardless of his bill that decimates alternative sources.
