Sports summer camp cancelled as Orange lodge raises ‘significant concerns’ over children from GAA club

  4. This closed-minded defensiveness is at the core of what unionism is for so, so many. It’s not an over-zealous minority that can be weeded out, it’s intrinsic to its very nature.

    Genuinely pathetic.

    I thought maybe this was a multi-sport camp, with some GAA being played.

    It would still be fucking unhinged to oppose that, but it’s even worse.

    It is exclusively a cricket camp, and loyalists were up in arms because some kids who are also members of a GAA club were going to take part.

  10. Ireland is not theirs. These Brits have no right to deny the people of Ireland our birthright to participate in our Gaelic games.

  11. They claim this is because they want the GAA to be inclusive.

    It has nothing to do with the GAA, it’s simply a few kids who want to take part in a cricket camp who happen to also play gaelic football.

    These people are the definition of backward. Imagine the parents of the children having to explain that actually you’re not going to that cricket camp and it’s because you happen to enjoy playing another sport. They don’t want your kind.

    Dinosaurs! They’re only harming themselves in the long run.
