Israeli airstrikes kill dozens in Gaza as ceasefire talks stall • FRANCE 24 English

The Gaza Strip hit again by Israeli bombs. The strikes targeted the town of Dear Elbalah in the center of the enclave as well as this displaced person’s camp further south in Han Ununice. A projectile landed in the middle of the tents. Civilians were sleeping peacefully and suddenly this drone does a round over the camp and drops a missile directly on the tents. 10 people were martyed. most of them children and the majority of those injured were also children. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. In the morg, though, the body bags are piling up. Griefstricken relatives mourn their loved ones as they say their final goodbyes. This woman lost her 5-year-old son in the latest air strike. The world isn’t seeing how people are dying. Children are dying. Who do you think’s dying? Militants? Are my children militants? They slept thirsty and hungry. No one is left. The rest are dead. My family is gone. My family has been erased. The Israeli army announced it had struck 250 targets over the past 48 hours, including sniper positions and weapons storage facilities. Meanwhile, Hamas and Israel are discussing a truce in Qatar. But negotiations are on the verge of breaking down. The main sticking point, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the enclave. Hamas wants them gone, while Israel wants to keep a buffer zone and control of around 40% of the territory. Since the start of the war, more than 57,800 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the health ministry. More than half have been women and children.

Israeli airstrikes killed at least 28 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip including four children, while 24 others were fatally shot on their way to aid distribution sites, Palestinian hospital officials and witnesses said on Saturday. The children and two women were among at least 13 people who were killed in Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, after Israeli airstrikes pounded the area starting late Friday, officials in Al-Aqsa Martyr’s Hospital said. Fifteen others died in Israeli airstrikes in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, according to Nasser Hospital.

  10. she asks if her children were militants. Well, we've seen plenty of those women glorifying the concept of 'martyrdom' for their children, and we've seen the UNWRA school texts that teach children to hate joooos, so… Maybe she got what she always wanted, just a bit sooner than expected.
