Nearly a billion people will be affected by a scarcity of water by 2100, researchers say. With lower carbon emissions, “We found that 500 million people (would be affected) instead of 900 million people, but water availability will still decrease in certain parts of the world.”

Looks like its mainly India – they better get working on solving this problem then.
I’m guessing that’s going to be a horrific underestimate for anyone still alive by then.
It will decrease more than that considering we put 5+ billion gallons of water vapor in a day which probably alters climate patterns and contributes to heat more than just CO2.
But we can’t have that kind of thinking here.
Optimistic to think there’ll still be nearly a billion people by 2100…
Answer: Solar powered dehumidifiers. They can be made in various ways, including the use of geothermal cooling to act as the dehumidifier with very little power needed to move air through pipes in a few feet under the ground to collect water.
There likely won’t be 1 billion people in 2100. Let’s stop with all this ridiculous projection when we’re in an exponential growth curve of climatic warming. Now is what we need to focus on.
