Hey guys,

By mistake I placed a hot pan on the wooden part of the kitchen counter and it has left this mark since.

I’ve tried removing it with a mixture of paste and soda but it doesn’t seem to work.

Any suggestions how I can remove this mark?

  1. You can order a wood paint repair kit, so then you could cover these marks

  2. Looks like laminate, not wood. In which case I doubt you’ll get it out. The plastic has burned and cannot be sanded or anything.

  3. If it’s actually wood, sanding and refinishing the wood would do it.  However, If it’s laminate, yeah no chance. New countertop.
