  1. Totally unrealistic! They are not all yelling at the worker simultaneously to tell him how to do the job none of them ever did.

  2. When the cuts come, they’ll lay off Dave and pat themselves on the back

  3. My boss printed this out and put in up on the wall of our office…..

  4. Every tech firm I’ve worked for and Government body I’ve worked for.

  5. Any crew working the roads. Take months to dig and fill a hole while 5 blokes watch one person working.

  6. It’s Dave that will be the first to be fired. Ironically

  7. When the announce layoffs, it will be Dave that gets “let go”. He will be the only one who has made mistakes too, so it’ll be easy to explain.

  8. You know, “Dave in a ditch” really could become a synonym for a working man, the one that actually knows what he’s doing whilst carrying all the “management” on his back.

  9. Telindus. A company of about 200 people and there were 7 layers of management above me.

  10. Reminds me of BT’s customer support meetings. Classic miscommunication.

  11. I feel like the HR manager wouldn’t be in shot, the Marketing manager would be holding up a sign saying how good we are at treating our staff, the security manager would be covered in PPE and have his arms folded, communication manager would be on the phone, project manager would be shouting 100% at the internal supervisor so he can go shout at Dave. Product Development Manager would be doling in a book to look busy and PR manager, god knows, asleep?

  12. The NHS, for sure (though they’re currently scrambling to cut the numbers of them down to save money). I can recall days when we were so short staffed our team had more managers in than team members
