Trump’s push to keep aging coal plants running could cost consumers billions. Customers will be forced to pay billions of dollars for some of the dirtiest, least efficient and least reliable power plants on the grid. The DOE overstepped sound policy to solve a grid “emergency” that it fabricated.

  1. Dig deep and you’ll find out he’s involved monetarily some how.

  2. The grids’ “emergency” is that utilities haven’t lifted a finger to upgrade them over time, as electrical demand rose slowly and steadily while they reaped profits. Now that we’ve entered the age of AI and data centers, and the demand has skyrocketed, they’re scrambling. They spent or pocketed the earnings, instead of re-investing in upgrades all along. Now its a crisis, and they want consumers to cover the bill all at once.

It has nothing to do with coal per se. The power lines don’t care if the electric current came from coal, oil, gas, solar, wind, geothermal, or your exercycle In the basement. Current and voltage are apathetic, so why not use the cheapest, cleanest, and constantly renewable forms of generating power?

China, India, Europe, Australia, and Indonesia are doing exactly that. Only the USA is attacking renewable energy because one man doesn’t like how they look near his golf course, or because they can’t be used to generate obscene profits, and doesn’t understand how they work.

  3. Cough, cough, cough.

Who is protecting the miner from black lung, Donald?

  4. Just great, first take away our healthcare then try to kill us by polluting America like we’ve never seen before.
