Trump discussing drone ‘mega deal’ with Ukraine — as US tech lags behind adversaries: ‘The people of America need this technology’

1. I call bullshit on the notion that Ukraine possesses any tech the US does not already have.

2. Wake me up when the guy actually does something other than talk.

3. I don’t know with this current administration ?

4. He is the face of a minority who bitch & moan that we spend “all this money” on R & D, education, etc. … and that no taxes should go into any sort of technology, science, or engineering whatsoever.

   Then they also complain when we get passed up in those fields.

   Most of them I dislike because they DO know the connection and still complain, but Trump I dislike because he is their useful idiot and does NOT understand despite having it explained to him many times.

5. US has way more advanced technologies and proper air force so it doesn’t need drones – that will be the Pentagon’s response. US Army evaluated Switchblade UCAV, decided not to field it and disbanded the group responsible for it testing and deployment

6. Lagging? I don’t know if that’s fair. The US has better tech but Ukraine is using what tech they possess way better than US troops ever have.

7. Then send more weapons to Ukraine!

8. If Ukraine gives the US their drone tech, it will 100% be provided to Russia. This is a bad idea.

10. A great idea 💡 if he actually does it . You would have to be stupid to pass up an opportunity to partner with Ukraine . Since the beginning of the conflict we should’ve gone after production of drones .
