Chairman of the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA), Dr Tareq El-Houby, received Mr Georg Krenn, Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of Austria in Cairo, and Mr Randol Kajagaba, Regional Operations Manager for Red Bull Energy Drinks, and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed aspects of joint co-operation between the NFSA and the company in awareness campaigns, as well as in the areas of compliance with food safety standards and legislation regulating the circulation of energy in the Egyptian market.During the meeting, El Houby stressed the importance of partnership with international companies with reputable reputations, pointing out the NFSA’s keenness to support a safe and healthy investment environment.
For their part, Red Bull representatives expressed their appreciation for the efforts exerted by the National Food Safety Authority in developing the food safety system in Egypt and its continuous interest in communicating with market players to comply with quality and safety standards.
This meeting comes within the framework of NFSA’s strategy to open effective communication channels with the private sector and foreign embassies, and exchange visions on the best international practices in the field of food safety, which contributes to supporting the health of the Egyptian consumer and enhancing competitiveness in the market.
