Britain will lower its voting age to 16 in a bid to strengthen democracy

1. Age 16 voting pattern —-

   – I vote to make sure women stay at home and I can become an alpha male

   – I vote to abolish school to maximize “personal freedom”

   – I vote to decriminalize police so I can beat the crap out of everybody on the train

2. Want to bet the party in power got the youth vote last election?

   Also want to bet that eventually one party will figure out they can propose bringing down the drinking age to get the youth vote?

3. Wouldnt restricting votes for the old-old work better? They are the ones who wont have to deal with the consequences of their votes.

   And lets not forget how many parties blanket promise to improve the pensions to siphon that vote

4. The democracy would be strengthened if they ever brought in proportional representation and single transferable vote so that people didn’t have to vote strategically to keep out Reform rather than voting for who most aligns with their views.
