Been sat since 12:30 with a super fussy baby. I’m on nights tonight so just got up and been sat cuddling in for the past six hours a d watching the UFC. Had worse times
What type of dog is this?
I woke up at 5.50am unable to get back to sleep so I got up. Can’t turn the kettle on because my husband will hear it, wake up and feel bad he hasn’t made me coffee (he’s a coffee nerd and likes to make us nice coffees on weekend mornings). He deserves more rest, so I’m going to just have some icy water instead.
Will probably work on the shawl I’m crocheting for my nanas 90th birthday next month in the meantime.
Up at 6am thinking I’d pop out for a wander and some fresh air at a car boot sale, but that’s been cancelled after all the rain yesterday. I foolishly started filling and sanding part of the staircase yesterday, so I guess that’s going to be my day finishing what I’ve started.
It’s my birthday today. So happy fucking birthday to me. Gonna celebrate by buying a prawn ring, hanging it round my neck and dancing to Atomic Kitten.
Also, it’s kinda cool be born on the same day that man landed on the moon. I wonder what the prawns would think of that.
Gotta go to a sodding christening today and I’m really not arsed for it
Just home from work, it was a mixed bag. I’ll be getting a bit of sleep then taking my dog out after ‘breakfast’, weather permitting. We’ve got a yellow thunderstorm warning, but it may not appear.
Then back to work for the evening shift.
It’s raining steadily here! Having a tea with all the windows open. Can’t remember the last time it did this for so long, it’s a beautiful sound.
I’m currently watching a very strange Estonian movie called “The Black Hole”
odd but enjoying it so far

Got woken up twice during night by work.. joys of being on call 24/7.. so will be drinking lots of coffee and trying to stay awake until s sensible time to sleep this evening .
If i cave and have a nap won’t them be able to sleep tonight
Ahhh I love that it’s a rabbit 🐇. I’m going to the cinema to see I know what you did last summer. Looking forward to it.
I have a job trail today in a wedding dress shop. Maybe you remember me, I asked on this sub a couple of weeks ago if I should wear a red suit for a job at Kurt Geiger. Well I didn’t get the job, but I handed in my notice at my other job, because of the toxic environment. Then last week I got an interview at the bridal shop and they liked me and want me to do a trail today. I worked in bridal for 15 years before having my kids, so it’s something I know and still love! So keep your fingers crossed for me! Ps I didn’t wear my red suit for this interview lol.
I slept on the living room floor after I finished painting the first walls and ceiling coat in the bedroom. Today, woodwork 1st coat, walls and celling 2nd coat, tonight, wood 2nd coat.
Pax wardrobe coming tomorrow, carpets fitted Wednesday, new couch currently being shipped to the UK.
I’ve worked so incredibly hard for all this but I can finally see the finishing line. How the heck I’m managing all this I’ve no idea, pure British grit lol. Happy Sunday all!
Spent a few hours yesterday sanding and scraping in the tiny back porch (ceiling, walls and woodwork). Woke up with rigor mortis which might rethink my plans for doing the same in the adjoining utility today….
Wish it was a lazy Sunday, but I decided to work and chose the wrong place on top of that
I really need to finish sorting my clutch on my motorbike the rain yesterday really delayed me as I don’t have a garage so I took the kids out and was too knackered when I got home.
Went to bed late ish and now got work up early by the dog
Watched Straume (aka Flow) last night. What an absolutely gorgeous film.
Today I shall be rotisserie’ing a chicken, having a walk in the rain, doing a bit of food shopping and reading up on my new washing machine, as apparently the eco setting uses 3.8kWh and takes 9.2 hours to finish, which can’t be right.
Woke up at 6, have had a coffee and pastry in bed (I know, crumbs!) Now in a cuddle puddle with the cats till I can be arsed to get up and start my day. Not much planned, just going to finish the housework and then go visit my mum.
I think the most exciting thing I’m likely to do today is resume the painting job I started yesterday. Thankfully, this Dulux one-coat gloss I’m using doesn’t have too much of a lingering smell.
Just chopped some vegetables for a casserole, and I’ve almost run out of milk, so a quick trip to the corner shop will be necessary.
