JD Vance was elected alongside President Donald Trump in the US Election last year.
Hailing from Middletown, Ohio, the 40-year-old is an author, attorney, and Marine Corps veteran, as well as a politician.
Mr Vance and his family have chosen to spend their summer holiday in the UK, according to reports in The Telegraph this weekend.

The national newspaper cites sources familiar with the family’s itinerary and adds that they are looking to rent a cottage in the Cotswolds.
As many as three separate sources all explained the plans to The Telegraph, but one added that these plans are yet to be finalised.
It is also understood that the 40-year-old VP was keen to make a visit to Foreign Secretary David Lammy at his Kent estate, Chevening.
This visit may not occur, though, as the national newspaper suggested that Mr Vance and Mr Lammy’s calendars “did not align”.

The Foreign Secretary and his wife visited the Vance family earlier this year at their residence in Washington.
“The ties run deep,” said a Whitehall source to The Telegraph.
“Whatever any policy differences, the history, heritage and appeal of the United Kingdom are a huge draw to the current administration … unlike with their predecessors.”
Mr Vance is the 50th US Vice President and is expected to stay in the role until the next election in 2028.
