Clearing out some stuff in the house and came across my old Game Boys 🤩 3 our of 4 working…with saved progress from about 25 years ago 😂Guess I’m playing some old skool Pokémon this evening!

   When my brother comes up to stay a few times a year, we continue our Championship Manager ’93 and our Sensible World of Soccer ’95-’96 save games. It’s a grand old time.

5. I sold my old red copy and the poor guy who received it said that the game wouldn’t keep saves so I’m guessing the battery that keeps the saves died

6. Still my original fat gameboy and Gameboy colour in one of drawers. Want to screen mod my Gameboy colour.

11. I got the pink Gameboy advance for my 10th Birthday as it was the only one my parents could find. They tried to tell me it was supposed to be see through red, but I didn’t care

15. Both the GBA and Color Gameboys have a number of pretty easy to do mods to give you things like backlit IPS screens and USB-C charging.

    Up to you if you want to do something like that to your original devices. They’re only original once I guess.
