It’s inspired by pre-Viking petroglyphs from Bronze Age Scandinavia. There’s a couple sites with these rock carvings near Sarpsborg.
Neat. I have a bronze age petroglyph tattoo as well. Not dotwork though
To me this is like an American getting Chinese lettering tattooed. Done to signal interest but backfires because it’s so far off the mark. But to each their own I guess
