  1. Green energy will not be feeding AI. Once you renewable folks understand the energy required for the next step of civilization you will understand why reliable baseload power sources will be leading the way from this moment forward

  3. Subsidies are paid to fossil fuel providers as well. Remove subsidies from all energy providers and see which is cheaper. I’ve got a suspicion that renewables would be a lot cheaper.

  4. There is an almost treasonous incompetence to what Trump and the GOP are doing, which will harm America for generations. I can’t even believe that the GOP is not only letting him get away with it but cheering for the utter stupidity.

  11. Trump’s actions against the environmental field has had a significant negative impact on the world, no doubt. Pulling out of the Paris agreements, defunding departments like the EPA/NOAA, promoting climate misinformation, etc, has been absolutely devastating for the US and the world.

    However, let’s not pretend that the US was anywhere close to being a leader in the fight against climate change before Trump. The USA’s failure to properly act and lead as the world’s richest nation started well before Trump and stems from a far deeper issue than just the orange idiot.

  12. Coal is so much more expensive to mine and burn, aside from the pollution costs.

    There’s a reason it’s been declining. It costs too much compared to other energy sources.

    It’s just stupid and we won’t be able to catch up after 4 years of this.
