  1. Remarkable that he got to 76 TBF. Good that they got the goodbye gig done at VP a couple of weeks back.

  2. He wasn’t in great shape at Villa Park but nothing to suggest the end was THIS close. Really was a farewell.

  3. Awww man, I was only at the gig in Birmingham 2 weeks ago… Honestly makes it much more emotional 😢

  4. RIP Ozzy and thanks for the last stand with your fans. It was a good ride!

  5. RIP Ozzy Osbourne. My favorite song of his is No More Tears.

  6. Such sad news, Everyone who followed him through the years knew he wanted to do one last show and I for one am glad he got to do that before passing. I hope the Osbourne family get the respect and privacy they deserve during this difficult time.

  7. I grew up with Black Sabbath, I learned to play their songs on guitar so I have a really soft spot for Ozzy, RIP. I’ll share one of my favourite moments I saw of him and that was him remembering Randy Rhoads, it was heartbreaking but I think if there is a metal god heaven he is up there today with Randy [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6ejlCB-tkQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6ejlCB-tkQ)

  8. You don’t need to be his fan to be devastated by this. If you love metal, whatever band you like owes everything to this dude.

    R.I.P.

  9. Gonna watch an episode of the Osbornes and listen to crazy train later, in honour. RIP Ozzy

  10. Got into metal in the late 80s from listening to a friend’s dad’s Zeppelin and Sabbath records.

Remeber him BLASTING Paranoid for us….. FUCKING SAVAGE.

Ozzy was an absolute rock n roll LEGEND.

  11. One of those forthcoming passings so often joked about and yet when it happens it’s still an absolute shock, R.I.P King

  12. Was only at his farewell gig, what an icon absolute legend, got to go on his terms with a final bow out and raised over 140m for charity, one of a kind

  13. He was clinging to life to play that gig. There’ll never be a rock and roller like him ever again

  14. Diagnosed with parkinsons in 2019. I remember watching the show on MTV 20 years ago and thinking this guy definitely parkinsons.

  15. Look I’ll admit, not one to shed a tear (much) but I did get misty eyed. Met the legend years ago at a book signing in Easons and he was just as bat (no pun intended) shit then. Couldn’t attend the gig in Birmingham so sat my arse down last week to watch it online and I can only imagine how people felt at that gig. Between Black Sabbath, watching the Osbournes, listening to their podcast, the man was fucking mental but man did he entertain without realising.

  16. Trailblazer, Innovater, Pioneer. What a loss, but what a legacy to leave for modern music.

Master Of Reality is playing on the speakers now.

    Farewell, Ozzy!

  17. Fair fucks to him for the last show, but even more so now

    🦇

  18. There’s a bit in Ozzy’s book (which I would highly recommend) where he talks about seeing his father for the second last and last time.

His father had been in hospital, very much on the way out, barley lucid when he gave Ozzy a thumbs up, a smile and said “Speed!” As it was the only drug word he knew.

At the funeral, it was a closed casket and Ozzy in a stupor demanded they open it as he wanted to see his father again. Obviously it shocked him that he was so frail and awful after dying and he says he left his last memory of his father as the happy man in the hospital bed.

I think that story has resonance here as well with the BTTB concert. Ozzy absolutely could have disappeared when he was diagnosed and left us with the lasting memories of his life. But God damn he came back one last time and gave us one last memory. It honestly could have gone either way and we could have been left with a very sad experience but I absolutely loved every second of it. An absolute heroic effort and homecoming.

  19. I actually didn’t really feel sad hearing this news. I’ve covered many of his tunes in my various bands throughout the decades and there will be many more bands that cover his music to come. He took full advantage of life and lived a million of them just in one of those lifetimes. Isn’t that the goal? He’s done it all, there was nothing left to do. He’s seen and done shit that most of us could never imagine. He was a badass right up until the end. I’m actually happy for him because living in a body riddled with Parkinson’s isn’t a joy ride. His spirit was let free rather than wasting away in a painful state. Cheers, Ozzy. He will be immortal through his music.
