Russian strikes kill at least three across Ukraine amid escalating drone attacks • FRANCE 24

For Daria, her son, and many other residents of Kev, the metro is far more than public transport. It can save lives. Several times a week, alerted by sirens, they rush with a yoga mattress to the closest station, one of the rare places where they feel safe. Six months ago, we came here less often, once per month. Now, it’s two or three times a week. The difference is that attacks make more victims. Now, Kev’s transport officials say that more than 165,000 people found refuge in metro stations in June. That’s twice as many as in May and five times more than a year earlier. Russia has intensified its attacks in recent weeks. On Friday night, it targeted 10 Ukrainian regions with some 30 missiles, 300 drones like here in Odessa. Ukraine’s air defense systems are struggling to keep up and there have been victims in destruction. The lack of sleep and mounting stress generate various phenomena. Memory loss, cognitive decline, and people struggle to focus. This generates depression, anxiety, and apathy. On Monday, Donald Trump said that the US would send Kev more weapons, starting with Patriot missiles to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses.

Russian missile strikes killed three people across Ukraine on Saturday, while Ukrainian drone attacks briefly halted train services in Russia’s Rostov region.   17. Massive strikes kill three people? It appears to me that Russians are discriminating between their targets and residental buildings, when struck, are in 99.9% cases downed Russian drones which Ukraine shoots over Kyiv.
