I’d include some Cadbury’s chocolate to show him what real chocolate tastes like.
Good selection
Very acceptable – good range of classics
Add some Tunnocks to that!
Missed the Caramel Wafers, other than that pretty solid
Ideal. Missing a Yorkie though
When I took snacks last time I went, Matchmakers and chocolate orange were extremely popular!
1.35 for monster munch. The West has fallen.
Great choice but even though they’re my favourite crisps monster much when I have given to non British people 90% of the time they don’t like it. I think it’s definitely an acquired British taste 🤣
“I’m just off to meet a friend from the internet. Now then Mother, which sweeties go best with the windowless van?”
I’m visiting my friend next week in Ohio. He is originally from the Uk and he has asked for.
Prawn cocktail crisps
Galaxy chocolate
Yorkshire tea bags
Terrys chocolate orange
I think I can fill a suitcase with what I’ve got him.
I brought my American fiancés family some prawn cocktail crisps and they loved them, and were fascinated at the flavour choice. Could be a shout
Edit to add: I also brought them each a chocolate orange, a caramel freddo each and some chocolate digestives. Those are the most British confectioneries I could think of lol
Add in a pack of custard creams or chocolate digestives and you’re set
The large pickled onion monster munch might be optimistic (unless its a British friend that has moved to America)
I’d add some smarties, so much better than M&Ms!
And a kinder egg they are illegal in the US
More than. Nobody ever brings me these kinds of treats in NY.
i’m afraid you’re missing the statutory Curly Wurly. apart from that, no notes.
Be careful, I took one of those big Christmas sized bars of Dairy Milk over to an expat friend of mine in Texas and was held at the airport for ages, there was no other reason why they’d have held me!
Tuck in a jar of Marmite, they might love it
That’s pretty decent
No Freddoes?
Where’s the Fredo?
‘English tourist arrested and deported by ICE for bringing in suspicious substances’
Good luck
Yes to the Jaffa cakes. But tell him he can only eat 3 at a time. I tell myself that and I eat the whole packet. Let me know the results.
Sorry, but I wouldn’t have chosen any of those.
Instead:
* Tunnock’s Tea Cakes or Caramel Wafers
* M&S Chocolate Rounds
* Kettle Chips – Sweet Chili & Sour Cream
* M&S Walnut Whip
* Cadbury’s Caramel
Good choices but I might add some beef and prawn cocktail McCoy’s, Tunnock’s caramel wafers and a Terry’s Chocolate Orange
Not that you asked. But some suggestions would be Tunnock tea cakes, space raiders/nik naks, and hobnobs.
HOBNOBS
Used to LOVE dodgers, went decades without having one…until recently. Got a pack of apple & blackcurrant and they’re even better than the original raspberry!
Americans love cruchie bars.
Salt and vinegar squares would have been a nice touch, maybe a wham bar.
But tbf, you’ve done an excellent job.
