Today felt like a small moment in history happening on my doorstep so I figured I’d grab a few snaps. RIP Ozzy.

His death has hit really hard and it’s so beautiful seeing all of these tributes to him, he was very loved.
I grew up listening to Ozzy and Black Sabbath thanks to my dad.
We will never have another Ozzy, he was a one off and I was hoping he would make it to 100.
I don’t often care about famous people deaths.
But this one is painful, I loved Ozzy

An absolute fucking legend of a guy. Still can’t believe he’s gone after that gig he put on a few weeks back. His vocals were a LOT better than what I was expecting. That’s life though isn’t it, you always presume there’ll be another tomorrow. Take it easy wherever you are now big man. Our cat is called Ozzy because he’s fucking awesome just like you!
RIP. One of the most influential rock stars, he and Black Sabbath ushered in a whole new genre, not many acts can claim that. And Black Sabbath and Ozzy have been so influential, there isn’t a metal act in the last 50 years who haven’t been influenced by them.
Is that a carved watermelon in pic 5? Amazing.

I was only in Brum Monday and caught some of the posters for the last gig 😭
This one hit me. HARD. RIP Ozzy 💔
Photo 2 is that jack black?
Fella in pic 2 looks like Jack Black
I tried to get tickets for the gig through the various presales and was unsuccessful. Gave up on it.
A couple of days before I thought fuck it, bought a ticket from a third party site I’d never heard of (ticombo) and booked a hotel. Drove down and had the most amazing time.
So glad I did. I’d seen Sabbath before at Download in 2005 and Hyde Park in 2014 but the line up was one I just couldn’t miss. I obviously expected he’d die but not a mere 17 days after the event.
I’ve never been the biggest Ozzy solo fan and really only like the first 4 Sabbath albums but the sheer *occasion* of it all meant I just had to be there. It felt like a funeral for someone that hadn’t died
There was also the Birmingham Orchestra in new street playing movie themes and some sabbath. Saw a video, it looked so cool
Where are the posters in photo 7? Looks like they’re on the old “he turns water into wine” posters, but I can’t remember exactly where they were!
Aw man. That’s sweet. 🖤🤘
