For many fans up and down the country, including in the two participating counties, the closest they will get to the action on Jones’ Road is the broadcast in the local pub or their front rooms.
This year, as has become the norm in recent years, both RTÉ and the BBC will be bringing the All-Ireland final to the masses at home to allow every household across Ireland to see Donegal take on Kerry.
The Ulster and Munster champions take each other on in a repeat of the All-Ireland final of 2014, where the Kingdom nudged out Tír Chonaill in a final that became synonymous with Kieran Donaghy calling out Joe Brolly post-match.
RTÉ’s coverage will be presented by Joanne Cantwell with Kerry’s Tomás Ó Sé, Tyrone’s Peter Canavan and Mayo’s Lee Keegan named as her pundits.
