  2. I believe Reddit has already done this on some subs.

    I think it’s running technology similar to what I’ve heard about for self scan, checkouts where they use a camera to estimate your age. So as long as the checkout thinks you look over 30 you buy the alcohol without staff having to be involved.

    Obviously, it’s a high age rate for legal reasons

  3. VPN. Done. Its a non issue for anyone with the most minimal of computing knowledge. Ironically the most computer literate in our country, the younger ones, will know exactly what to do. Therefore an absolutely useless law.

  19. This is super weird, but that you have to sign up and verify your identity to such a company, with data going through US servers.

    Recommended page is now full of some really hardcore German stuff, those Germans eh?…. oh wait I haven’t connected it yet, never mind.
