30 odd years ago I used to go up to and around Inverness with work and I popped into the Harry Gow in Dingwall and bought a cake. I was so enamoured with it I bought some to take home to my folks and did so every week until work took me down a different road. Well here I am 50 years old and away to sit down with my family to relive my youth. I really hope Dream Rings live up to the hype I've built around them.

  1. As a Highlander, I’ve never been able to take to these. Much prefer a wee Victoria sponge or carrot cake from Gows

  2. Harry Gow’s is class. The sausage rolls are indecently good.

  3. They look amazing and I’d have one in a second…but it also looks like someone has stole the nip of your empire biscuits

  4. I prefer Krispy kreme but these don’t look bad…

  5. Bloody love a Dream Ring. Can’t get them in Edinburgh and always get one when I go home to the Highlands!

  6. Dream Rings! Outstanding! I try and pick them up whenever I return to the motherland.

  7. For the uninitiated you can get a birthday cake sized one too.

  8. Dream ring or the ‘Birthday cake’ vicky sponge are a must!

  9. If you’re in Dingwall, Deas (the local family bakers) is better than Gows (the chain)

  10. Looks like something I’m going to have to try next time I’m visiting. Where could I get this say somewhere along the A9 or in the Inverness area?

  11. Harry Gow Dream Rings. They’re outstanding 😍

  12. Best gift I ever received was a 16 person dream ring. My boss was from Inverness and knew I loved them from travelling up for work

  13. Harry Gows Dream Rings are the boys. I also love their Snowballs.
