Hardest Working Pierre at this year’s Tour de France

  1. Context: This Pierre was leading the Mountains Classification, but on this climb, he was being dropped by the rest of the group. Fearing he is going to lose the coveted polka dot jersey, the team car pulled over, and Pierre used the car and its acceleration as a lever to propel himself forward, while pretending that he was getting food and drink. You can see that, despite all this, he never received any drinks or food. Lo behold, he managed to get back to the group and claimed maximum mountain points for this climb. I don’t think he realised he was being filmed, but he was 100% caught on camera.

He should have been disqualified from the race, but because he is a Pierre, he got away with it.

But this is nothing compared to [what Luigi did in 2015 Vuelta.](https://youtu.be/7E4vRtC7IcY?si=EenkuUBnT2DdOX6r). He was DQ’d

  2. It’s called “bidon collé”… it is a well known practice in cycling and well regulated as well.

  3. I mean at this point he could just take the car and stop being a nuisance on the road

  4. This is literally my experience when competing against the french in any activity. They usually try to be smartasses and do some sort of tomfoolery just to come on top. No honor among them I guess
