  1. I’m all for Corbyn starting a new party. And I wish him the best of luck. I am worried though that he is just going to split the vote. I’m no fav of labour currently, but let’s not sugar coat it. They got in this time because everyone hates conservative and reform split the vote.
    If labour vote is also split then we will get reform next time around.

  2. A year ago today, the seemingly capable and experienced Starmer just won the clearest Labour mandate in decades after Liz Truss literally killed the queen. While Albanese – a career politician with no private career experience – was facing a resurgent conservative opposition flying at the cusp of two decades of mainstreaming xenophobia.

    Imagine telling someone that Starmer would be the one to fuck it up.

    (And yes there is a lesson for us Canadians here :))

  3. Good, the more of a threat there is of Labour and the tories losing status, the more likely we are to see first past the post as an electoral system thrown in the bin. If we’re lucky, Labour might even bite the bullet before the next election on the basis it gives them the best chance at being in a coalition government
