The man, anonymised in the ruling as HWMW, had told Asio interviewers he did not view Israel as a foreign government and that he would share classified information with the Israel Defense Forces if asked.

Asio said the officer, who is Jewish and had served 19 years in the Australian military, withheld information from Australian officials about training courses he undertook in Israel – where he is not a citizen – in 2016 and 2019, which included self-defence, security and firearms training.

  1. Meanwhile, several elected US congressmembers want to give benefits to US citizens who do.

If an antisemite equated Jews with Israel (most do. I must once again reiterate that most of us have no connectionto Israel, and a lot of us don’t even like Israel.) the constant demonstration of loyalty by US lawmakers to Israel, and the behaviors of Israel towards its neighbors would validate all their beliefs.

  2. I’ve been thinking about this non stop bc like who tells an intelligence agency they’d commit espionage if asked? Especially when they have security clearance. I’m dumbfounded. He’s probably going to be monitored for the rest of his life.

  3. Good. This is like having a nazi soldier in the allied forces.

Zionism anywhere in Australia, particularly in its military, should be sought out and removed.
