De N-VA vreest waarschijnlijk vooral om in Antwerpe veel joodse stemmen te verliezen. Sommigen zoals zatte Ludo zijn ook écht fans van Israel. Begrijpe wie begrijpen kan.
138 legal scholars don’t understand the implications this could have on the economic viability of the ports in Belgium. It means the government could grant their OK, only for some third party to run to a court and block it at the last minute.
Edit: For the folks who are too busy downvoting because “zomg palestine”: large freight companies will think twice about building something in Belgium if they can get all the permits in order, only for some third party to get those pulled after the shipment is already there. A lot of goods fall under dual use (e.g., a lot of electronics), so this is really dangerous for a country like Belgium that’s pretty big on being a logistics hub. If the government doesn’t fight this, someone like DHL might think twice about putting a major hub in Belgium in the future.
