Fantastic news. Post-war architecture is still so underappreciated but increasingly loved by the new generations (like me).
We’ve lost a lot of masterpieces to negligent and even hateful demolition, hopefully this will preserve their memory and help save the ones that remain.
Lol I like a lot of brutalist architecture (Trellick Tower!) but that school they’re putting this museum in has always looked like a prison. Especially when it had barbed wire and anti-climb paint on the fences in the 00s.

I give it a year before closure.
I think the lower classes should be forced to visit it. Of course I will spend my time looking at the V&A instead.

Wow this is very welcome. I studied in Bath under Patrick Hodgkinson who designed the Brunswick Centre. He was a terrific Professor and had such a passion for architecture.
Brutalism is often misunderstood. But in the worst cases has succumb to changing societal challenges and poor cyclical maintenance.
