  1. Were they selling overpriced, warm ham and cheese sandwiches, expensive water with a free copy of The Times thrown in?

  2. You could have just gone to your nearest motorway services or big train station.

  3. Medowhall in Sheffield has a WHSmith, popped in to see about stationary for the kids new school year. Soon walked out with nothing as it’s all well over priced. I remember WHSmith being the place I used to get a lot of my school stationary from, that feels like a distant memory now

  4. Are those big red patches on the carpet on purpose or just really nasty 🤢

  5. Just been into one at Heathrow this morning and no wonder the airport and train station ones were holding the company together.

£2.29 for a pack of polos and £4.49 for 16 paracetamol. Needless to say I shall have bad breath and a headache instead.

  6. I (Australian) grew up thinking they were an airport only thing. Was surprised to see them outside of airports over there!

  7. Semi-related, but I had a dream the other night I saw a new John Menzies.

  8. A shop at the resort I’m at in Fiji also has a WH Smith’s section!

  9. I walked past my first ‘TG whatever’ yesterday. I hung my head and kept walking.
