I want to buy something from the UK, but this time be smart about it and avoid the 16€ tribute to Post? What’s the procedure to follow?

  1. I think that’s only possible when the shop takes care of it. In that case, you pay duties and VAT directly to the shop

  2. Anyway you’ll probably get the « Michel Greco handling and service charge » here there is almost no way to avoid it.

  3. They would need to used the ioss system when shipping. If they don’t, you would need to pay on delivery.

  4. Hoping it arrives with UPS, as they do the customs (mostly) in the Netherlands and it’s far below the 16€.

Also, some shops offer you to pre-pay the tax and they’ll pay it when they send the package (I know it’d the case fot Playasia, but I don’t remember what they call it).
