Warming Arctic lakes may release more methane than expected. The findings are important because methane is over 25 times more powerful than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas.

I just want to play GTA6 before I go.
It’s also flammable.
And there are somehow still people out there who genuinely believe we’re heading for another glacial maximum somehow
More than expected? No way!

Methane is 140 times more potent than CO2 as a greenhouse gas during the ten years that it exists before oxidizing into CO2.
The IPCC says 86 times more potent than CO2 over 20 years, and 26 times more potent over 100 years, but these measures both understate methane’s ten-year punch.
Who cares? Always pointing out this climate crises or that one. 50+ years of hearing how the world is gonna burn and it hasn’t yet. And if it does happen to be true…why not go after the govt and corporations that are responsible for the climate change? Always thrown back on the little people instead of those that create the problem. Billionaires and their ilk taking jets across town to avoid traffic but me and my avocado toast are to blame. The irony of seeing the world for what it is. Pure garbage. And nothing will ever change because it’s always someone else to blame. Wonder how long it will take this time for an honest post to get removed? 🤔
