  1. The eagle in the German coin being slighy eccentric drives me nuts.

Also, Greece has a reproduction of a coin on a coin. Just no.

  2. Can you please change Germany’s rating to an even number instead of 9? Sorry this really bothers me.

  4. Vitruvian Man its so good…

was literally made for being in a coin, perfection

  5. Kuna i will always miss you

Out of all things, Croatians decided to name their currency after silly forest animal

    10/10

  6. I just realized I may have never actually seen a coin from Finland.

  7. The Greek one is an actual ancient coin imprinted in the euro. That’s 10/10 for me.

  8. I’d argue that Portugal should set a trend for us to use more medieval themed coins, cuz that’s a neat design.

  9. It’s a shame we never adopted it. I would love to know what we would have put on

  10. I grabbed a coin I had laying around and dear god it’s German

When your friends start talking about topics that have no relation to you

  12. Inbred.

    Old Fat Bisexual.

    Those are Swans.

    BDSM predictably.

Autists interpretation of The Penguin from Batman.

This owl has been on the gear.

    Cheers.

    Art but Gayer.

    Why Jackie Chan?

    Invisible, which is fitting.

    BDSM but small.

Neil deGrasse Tyson for some reason.

    Pretty legit actually.

    Shit compass.

  13. The Estonian will always be my favourite, the put the same exact design in all of the coins

  14. Finland is oddly soothing, Greece’s reference to drachmas is very cute, Ireland looks like a Guinness bottle cap, Portugal goes hard

  15. Get ukraine into the EU/eurozone just for their trizub on a coin

  16. If we ever adopt the euro, I sincerely hope they do not put the king’s face on the coin. It’s basic and dull.

  17. I love the French one because of how it looks like the flag of Gondor, with the Tree and Stars!

The ROUND eagle in the German one is OFF CENTRE, how does that not bother people??

  18. Fair enough, I still think our last run of Belgian francs slapped with all notes depicting Belgian contributors to the arts,

My favourite being 200 francs depicting Adolf Sax

Interestingly if I had kept any notes around they would have 10x-ed by now according to this eBay listing (in 2002 the exchange rate BEF- euro was 40-1 meaning 25 euro was 1000 Francs; this note is listed at just over €50, so the 200 franc note is being sold for 2000 ish francs)

  19. “Looks like a medieval coin”

Do I have some news for you!
    They are indeed medieval designs.

They feature medieval royal seals, from the reign of King Afonso Henriques. The 1, 2 and 5 cents use the seal from 1134, the 10, 20 and 50 cents use the seal from 1142, and the 1 and 2 euros use the seal from 1144!

  20. Juancarlos is the best symbol for a euro:

-never worked in his life, portugal, greece and italy should like

    -he is italian and mafioso

-tax evasion, Luxembourg, san marino, monaco, vatican, Eire, malta should love it

-sexual depravity, austria, germany, netherlands, vatican should love it

-heir of a fascist, he gets points from germany, italy

-killed his brother in a room, if it were a basement austria would marry him. Finland also understands him, too close

-french blood and raised in Portugal

  21. Greece, Portugal and Malta win for me, at least for the 1€ coins
