The new stein has a light brown wood finish. The lid is a silver metallic depiction of the clock tower between Biergarten and Sommerfest. Though the stein looks like wood and metal, it’s plastic.

The designs around the side of the stein are the same as the previous version of the mug. On one side is the phrase “herzlich willkommen,” which translates to “warm welcome.” The statue of St. George and the Dragon from the center of the pavilion is below the phrase with “Germany.” The pavilion’s facades are in the background, and a Mickey-shaped pretzel is at the top.

A Christmas tree represents Die Weihnachts Ecke. There is a trio of teddy bears for Der Teddybar. Three soccer balls represent Das Kaufhaus. Other iconography on the stein includes a cuckoo clock for Volkskunst, grapes and wine for Weinkeller, and a pastry and candy apple for Karamell-Küche.
