Copenhagen coach meets with an Albanian family from Denmark at the Pristina stadium
Following his team’s victory over Drita in Pristina, FC Copenhagen coach Jacob Neestrup shared a special and emotional moment he experienced during his stay in Kosovo.
In a statement after the match, he said that he had the opportunity to meet a family originally from Kosovo who has been living in Denmark for years.
“I also spoke to a family that lives in Denmark and is originally from Kosovo – they were here to visit relatives. It was a pleasure to meet them,” Neestrup said with emotion after the match held at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium.
Personal connection and respect for the Albanian community
This simple but meaningful gesture by Neestrup comes as a sign of respect for the Albanian community in the diaspora, which is also strongly represented in Denmark. The meeting with the Kosovar family reinforced the feeling of hospitality that the Danish coach experienced during his visit to Pristina.
The coach, who led his team to an important victory in the Conference League qualifying round, said he was impressed by the atmosphere and hospitality in the Kosovo capital.
“Not only was the game strong and interesting, but the visit to Pristina was also a positive experience in many aspects,” he added.
Positive experience in Kosovo
During his stay in Kosovo, Neestrup and his team had the opportunity to get to know the culture, passion for football and the local people. He did not hesitate to greet the fans and the welcoming staff of Drita and the Football Federation of Kosovo for the organization and the sporting atmosphere.
This human moment with the Kosovar family from Denmark seems to have left a special mark on the FC Copenhagen coach, who has already created an emotional connection with Kosovo that goes beyond the green field.
