Oleksandr Hryanik dreamed of conquering Everest. But his “Everest” became Mariupol, surrounded by Russian troops. In March 2022, as part of a secret special operation by the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate, he voluntarily flew to help his comrades in besieged Mariupol. Oleksandr died on May 8, 2022, while defending the Azovstal plant.
In memory of Oleksandr, his parents and friends have already conquered several peaks in the Carpathians.
Now, his parents have also traveled the trails of Iceland. They took photos in the same places where their son had been. Next up is Mexico.
The pictures with nobody in the frame hit even harder.
So sorry for your loss. Слава Україні. Heroiam Slava.
So sorry, young man. This puts me to tears.
Strong *Cold Fever* vibes (with reversal of roles).
Sad, clearly they are having a very hard time and he seemed to be loved by many, God bless

The last set of pictures looks like the stills from Riddley Scott’s Prometheus movie…
Fuck Ruzzia

I have been at those exact spots both in 2008 and 2018. Far fewer tourists in 2008.
In both cases though, the land was pristine, and beautiful in its own way. I am going back for a third time.
The waterfalls will sing you to sleep.
I recommend going just before the tourist season starts, when the spring runoff hits.
I hope this gentleman’s parents find closure and peace on their journey. Iceland is a land of peace.
As to the fallen soldier, thank you for your service and sacrifice.
Rest in peace, Olexandr Hryanik. 💐💙💛🇺🇦💙💛🇺🇦
You died a hero. My son is called Alexander, is 23y old and lives in France, far from ruZZia. I’m from Eastern Europe and sadly remember soviet times. Never thought some KGB midget can f*** up the world again.
Mariupol is now a sh*thole, as most ruzzian settlements. No running water, no roads. A city can be rebuilt, but young lives lost can not be brought back. Orcs only destroy.
F*c* Rashistan.

Mariupol defenders are true heroes
Heart breaking
RIP warrior. I was in the exact same spots a few years ago. A truly epic land. I wish to return (in the winter, forget about going there in the summer if you are thinking about it). Forever grateful for his self-sacrifice, glad he got to experience Iceland at least once.
Slava Ukraini
Man… I’m going to burry my mother ashes Saturday and seeing this makes me feel their pain so hard, this is intense.
