Hi, I see these buildings everywhere during my vacation. What are they used for?

  1. These bad boys are used to dry cut grass which is then fed to cattle. If I’m not mistaken, they are used only in Slovenia. There are other types too, some are as big as a house.

Some fellow redditor will correct me any second.

  2. These are Kozolec a wooden structure, used for hay

We have two types, the one pictured and another one called Toplar.

A unique thing here in Slovenia, but you can also find it in parts of Italy

  3. These are to Slovenia what windmills are to the Netherlands.

  4. Another usage is tractor or car garage. Sometimes even secret love mansion.

  5. It’s a an old pagan structure for human sacrifice where we string up foreigners and tourists and offer them to the old gods for a good harvest, but we tell everyone it’s for drying hay so they don’t freak out.
