Rokas Jokubaitis has confirmed that he will be leaving Maccabi Tel Aviv to join Bayern, with the transfer expected to be finalized soon.
The 24-year-old former EuroLeague Rising Star revealed in an interview with BasketNews, following a national team training session, that he is close to finalizing a contract with the German outfit.
“Yes, just some formalities remain,” Jokubaitis commented regarding his transfer to Bayern Munich.
“All things should’ve been made public but, so far, they haven’t. For security reasons and other considerations, everything remains undisclosed at the moment.”
Earlier this summer, Maccabi denied rumors about Jokubaitis’s departure, expressing their eagerness to have him at training camp ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Last year, Jokubaitis posted career-best EuroLeague numbers, averaging 12.6 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game for Maccabi Tel Aviv. Before joining Maccabi, he spent three seasons with Barcelona.
