The Petroleum and Convenience Marketers of Alabama, a nonprofit trade association representing more than 200 petroleum marketers and convenience store operators across the state, has announced the hiring of Neal Morrison, effective August 1, 2025.

Morrison is a former member of the Alabama House of Representatives, former director of North Alabama Regional Council of Government and served in Governor Robert Bentley’s administration as commissioner of senior services. In addition, Neal served as chairman of the Alabama Certiticate of Need Board and is a lifetime member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders.

“With more than 30-years of experience in governmental affairs and community outreach, Neal brings the experience and relationships needed to help P&CMA achieve our goals, mission and vision,” said Rex Jones, chair of the association’s board of directors. “We look forward to having Neal as a part of the P&CMA family.”

“I am humbled and honored to be given the opportunity to be a part of such an outstanding association that represents family-owned small businesses and hard-working men and women across the state,” said Morrison. “Petroleum marketers literally fuel the economic engine of the state. Without the products they provide, economic development cannot occur.”

In addition to representing the association in Montgomery, Morrison will be involved in member engagement across the state, helping connect member businesses with their elected officials at all levels of government.

With a membership that includes companies that own, operate and/or supply more than 3,250 convenience stores throughout Alabama, and employing almost 60,000 people across the state, P&CMA plays a vital role in supporting the state’s energy infrastructure and small business community.

P&CMA members include both major branded and independent petroleum marketers, as well as operators of locally owned convenience stores.
