Just seen two blokes outside Lidl in Putney. Seems to follow the same shtick as We R Blighty. Also a CIC. Anyone know any more?

I’m not giving money to a private company.

I’ll donate to a registered charity though, and this isn’t that.
I refer you to the previous thread

You should never donate to CICs.
can someone send a very hostile homeless man towards their way? To dismantle their operation
I don’t know anything but what’s out there publicly (Companies House) but they’re a CIC formed last year. Since then they have changed registered office address three times and not filed any financial paperwork. So I’d be extremely sceptical.
ETA: I’ve made it a policy to donate only to registered charities. You can easily spot them by the Fundraising Regulator badge shown here.

We should do an awareness campaign that a roller banner and folding table do not a legitimate cause make.
They were literally inside West Kensington station this week, very surprised that TFL allows this
It’s weird when you see your high street on here!
Why do they always look like there could be 8 of them, identical, shouting about footy or how someone’s “not worth it”, in a beer sodden corner of Wetherspoons.
Do they think that having the Union Flag on their jackets and stalls is gonna convince people?
Yeah I saw them the other day. I questioned them. They had the relevant permissions from the council apparently.
I should have challenged that too.
I did check out their CIC number though:

Something seems suss about the registered addresses, like I’ve seen it before in relation to Blighty.
Is there still a minigolf place above the Lidl?
Probably just going to change their name every few months / years. Like those dodgy sweet shops.
Homeless in Need UK are scammers. Not a charity, a “social enterprise, ie a business.
On their website [homelessinneeduk.org](http://homelessinneeduk.org) they claim “At Homeless in Need UK, we offer temporary accommodation to individuals in urgent need, utilizing (sic) both hostels and hotel rooms.”
They’re scamming people to donate money “for a room” which no doubt goes to the director James Gordon Adams:
[homelessinneeduk.org/sponsor-a-room](http://homelessinneeduk.org/sponsor-a-room)

Homeless veterans with PTSD are priority need homeless under Homelessness (Priority Need for Accommodation) Order 2002 (5)(2) and also under Housing Act 1996 Part VII 189 1c because they’re vulnerable due to mental health. If they make a homeless application to their council, they have to provide temporary accommodation the same day, usually an ensuite room in a house, and then rehouse them in a council or housing association flat.
So if Homeless in Need UK’s claims were true and they get them into a hostel, they’re actually depriving them of the social housing they’re entitled to, so the opposite of helping them. Of course, they know that the average person walking past them has no idea of the homelessness legislation.

James Gordon Adams is also director of SERVICEINACTION LTD, no idea what it is as I can’t find anything on Google.

I will start a “Fundraisers in Need UK” collection. Clearly it is a good business.
