1. And most people don’t understand Energy or Climate Change enough to realize the importance of this kind of TERRIBLE decision. There isn’t an “elevator speech” that will likely change their minds on the topic. They didn’t care before, and they won’t care after, and when it really bites them in the ass, it’s just way too late for everybody (and they’ll probably just blame whoever their thought leaders tell them to blame).

3. This is an outcome of the offshore wind industry’s failures, which began long before January 2025. The offshore wind industry in North America since 2022. Multiple projects and companies have paid penalties to cancel contracts due to their inability to deliver within the agreed-upon price and schedule. Several Atlantic projects are entering production or continuing development, but many aren’t economically viable and are or have been canceled, particularly those tied to New Jersey.
