“A generation thanks to which Moldova grows” – this is how Prime Minister Dorin Recean described the youth of Moldova. During a discussion with the participants of the fourth edition of the joint internship program of the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the head of the executive appreciated their intelligence, courage and determination, urging them to work with responsibility and dedication, to show openness to everything that is new and to demonstrate a developed critical spirit, reports IPN.
“I am confident that, together, we will continue the European path of the country’s development,” emphasized Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
In turn, the interns asked the Prime Minister questions about the Government’s priorities regarding the security of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the importance of the parliamentary elections this fall.
At the fourth edition of the internship program, over 150 people are participating. Since the launch of the program, 268 young people have completed internships within public authorities, some of whom were subsequently employed.
The paid internships have a duration of two months within the EU Delegation Program, and those in the Government Program must accumulate 480 hours, within a period ranging from 3 to 6 months. Young people who complete the program and obtain the “very good” rating can be proposed for employment, without competition, in public execution positions for which professional experience is not necessary. Also, the internship graduates are included in the reserve body of public officials, for a period of 12 months.
