Apparently, Russia’s Foreign Ministry has never heard Afghanistan’s current national anthem, which includes the line: “Look at the piles of skulls — this is what the Russians left behind”

The map is incorrect. It includes one entity/territory that’s not a country, but rather:
* a low-quality petrol station run by a troglodyte mobster
* a state of mind (a sick one)
Unfortunately, no rewards for guessing which.
not even north korea do so
Russia is lost
Russia and the Taliban are allies and the Russian government doesn’t care who to kill – Ukrainians, Europeans or its own Russian citizens
Just a casual reminder, they removed (or plan to remove) Taliban from a terrorist organization list.
Even China and North Korea didn’t want to touch this.
In exchange for nuclear technology and a cart of racing horses they might actually teach Putin the secret of turning women into baby factories.
I mean they *are* the government. They won.
Not surprised…
I have not looked into it, but I imagine a good part of the Kremlin’s choice to recognize the Taliban is motivated to just spite the US.
I thought Pakistani recognized them?
International politics is hilarious and scary.
Germany does not diplomatically recognize the Taliban government, but maintains technical contacts to handle practical matters such as deportations or consular services. And that means the pay some large amounts of money to them.
China recognizes them, don’t they? They want all that lithium
Who the fuck knows what the Kiwis think.
