Yea, this is a big enough negotiation fail that would warrant a Bundesrat to step down….
The only thing that the Bundesrat could do if all fails is to cancel the Jets and halt IRS reporting, making our banks a tax haven again for americans. That would sting them for sure.

There should definitely no overreaction or worse, blaming the Bundesrat for Trump’s insanity.
But a plan needs to be developed right now how
1) the US can be replaced by other trading partners
2) in what areas Switzerland can gain advantages by stop respecting the US (starting with cancelling this stupid F-35 purchase hopefully). Trump now fired his shot, so we at least don’t need to fear it coming anymore.
All the other countries are getting between 10% to 25%. Why is the swiss deal so bad?
