And what would he do, precisely? Secondary sanctions against our own major trading partners is beyond ridiculous; a Ukrainian victory is not worth a global depression. Direct intervention is not an option; the people wouldn’t support it. Trump’s construction and property dealings have been used by the Russians to launder money into the USA for a couple of decades.
Without a doubt, Russia has kompromat on Trump because if you lay down with dogs, you get fleas. More than likely, Russia has video of Trump fucking young girls, but there would be any number of other illegal activities they’ve filmed or recorded him doing.
Russia has the social media bot network to release the footage, spin it negatively to generate public outrage, and force the issue so they can easily pull him into line.
