A new rumor is making waves in the Eurovision world as Belgian singer Loïc Nottet may be returning to the contest in 2026, according to a report from French journalist Clément Garin via CGTV. While nothing has been officially confirmed by the Belgian broadcaster RTBF, the speculation suggests that Nottet has already been internally selected to represent Belgium at the 70th edition of the contest, set to take place in Austria.

The alleged return comes with a touch of poetic symmetry, as this wouldn’t be Loïc Nottet’s first Eurovision appearance. Back in 2015, Austria hosted the contest following Conchita Wurst’s mesmerizing win with “Rise Like a Phoenix”. That year, Loïc was selected to represent Belgium and captivated audiences with his haunting performance of “Rhythm Inside”, earning the country a 4th place finish in the grand final—one of Belgium’s best results to date. His stage presence, innovative choreography, and distinctive voice made him an instant Eurovision icon. If true, Loïc’s comeback would mark a full-circle moment, exactly ten years later.

Of course, until confirmed by Loïc Nottet or the Belgian broadcaster, this still remains just a rumor. But the idea of one of Eurovision’s most memorable performers returning a decade later on the very same stage where he first performed is undeniably exciting.
