🚨 Trump commits FATAL MISTAKE as PANIC sets in | Another Day

Thanks to Donald Trump, the American economy is on fire. Wait, that that came out wrong. Uh, I meant like on fire bad, as in burning to the ground. This is just another day. If there’s one thing Donald Trump knows, it’s that if you want to capture the hearts of Americans, you need an indelible catchphrase. We’re the hottest country anywhere in the world. Our country is the hottest in the world right now. And now we’re the hottest country anywhere in the world. And for a guy who denies climate change and is simultaneously dismantling the EPA, that pretty much tracks. But the more Trump touts how amazing our economy is and what a hot country we are, the less we can actually believe him. Because you know what actual hot people don’t do? Talk about how hot they are. And don’t start with this. It’s just a pun on the word jeans. Donald Trump wants us to believe that we are in the golden age of America. Unfortunately, the numbers tell a different story. The July jobs report you see right next to me. This just came out moments ago and it’s weaker than expected. You have just 73,000 jobs added last month. But more concerning, the numbers for the previous two months have just been revised down by more than 200,000. So this is not encouraging economic information. You don’t say. It’s almost like launching a chaotic tariff policy based on Trump’s desire to annex half the world in the hopes that they’ll voluntarily come to the negotiating table is a bad idea. I wonder how folks over at Fox Business took the news. The NASDAQ down about 200 going 73,000 jobs. 73,000 jobs created in the month of July. Number just coming out. And that’s total. My god, I haven’t seen people this depressed over numbers since Matt Gates accidentally showed up at the 18 and over karaoke bar. By the way, if you’re wondering what Matt’s karaoke song is, he’s not picky. He likes Rod Stewart’s Forever Young, Taylor Swift’s 15, or sometimes he even sings one of the tracks from his self-produced solo album, I was accused of paying underage women for sex. But that don’t mean we can’t party. But here we are. Official statistics that the economic policies of the Trump administration are tanking the labor market. The numbers are, like Don Jr.’s oddly damp breasts, clear as day. This is going to be tough news to refute. I mean, are they going to reconsider the entire economic strategy? Will they confer with a group of financial experts to assess what went wrong? Or are they going to make the tough decision to pivot toward more of a macroeconomic framework like modern monetary theory where a government can increase spending to boost demand and stimulate growth? Which will they choose? Want to get to some breaking news just into us right now. The same day as those dismal jobs numbers came out, Donald Trump is firing the commissioner of labor statistics. We’re doing so well. I believe the numbers were phony just like they were before the election and there were other times. So, you know what I did? I fired her. And you know what? I did the right thing. Yes. What better way to exemplify a level of professionalism than by saying me want fact person go bye-bye. This is unreal. because of the economic wound he inflicted. Donald Trump just fired the person who did the math. This is like failing algebra and taking it out on your pencil. Even some of Trump’s biggest supporters are realizing how insane this is. We had a bad print on jobs. I did not agree on whacking the commissioner. I don’t like that. Whacking statisticians makes no sense whatsoever. You don’t shoot the messenger. They used to do that in ancient Rome. Bad news to kill the guy off the horse. You don’t need to do that now. It doesn’t matter. This is a job where you just print data. Wow. Trump is going to hate Kevin Olirri now that he’s transitioned from Mr. Wonderful to Mr. Honest. Obviously, one of the big questions now is who takes over this suddenly vacant role. And we’re working on more information to see who might replace her. Unclear who that replacement and who the next person will be in this job with the Department of Labor and who will oversee these labor statistics. H let’s see. Trump needs a woman he likes who will tell him whatever he wants and if need be will lie to the American people to paint a rosier picture of horrible circumstances. Yeah, that’s a tough one. Americans are witnessing an economic freefall. The stock market is tanking. The dollar has dropped and our trade deals are garbage. Or as members of the administration like to put it, the fact is the European Union is the monster deal. What we are watching is President Trump rebuilding the greatest economy in the history of the world and turning and and simultaneously proving the so-called economic experts wrong at every turn. Just watching the boss, I mean, I’m I’m almost getting tired of winning, but I don’t think he ever will. Okay. But as I watch him, uh, he he’s like a maestro. He sees he wasn’t doing a Japanese deal. He was doing a synergistic whole deal with the rest of the world. This is just one part of that chess game. Yes. If there’s one thing everyone has noticed about our president, it’s his chess master-like moves. Can we please suspend this fiction that Donald Trump has some ingenious economic policy that’s going to bring about massive wins for our country or that it’s somehow going to bring all manufacturing back to the US? It’s not happening. In no universe are our iPhones going to be made in a factory in the Midwest. Because if they were, instead of costing the current $1,000, they’d cost $3,500. And by my calculation, that is more money. And all of the billions of dollars in tariff revenue that we’re supposed to be crazy excited about, that is a tax on consumers. The companies don’t foot the bill. We do. And for everyone saying, “Well, I haven’t gotten taxed yet.” Just wait. The reason this takes time to happen is that suppliers have contracts with manufacturers. Manufacturers have contracts with retailers. They can’t simply go ahead and just increase prices suddenly because they are locked into existing contracts. But as these contracts start rolling over, they’ll be able to start increasing prices. The Yale Budget Lab actually calculated that consumers are going to pay anywhere from around 2,000 more per year, $2,000 more per year uh to around $4,000 more per year for all the items that they are buying. Thanks to Trump’s masterful chess champion trade deals, prices on goods are going to go up. But President Trump feels our pain. And if we have to deal with the crunch, then surely our fearless leader will too, right? We are proud to announce that the construction of the new White House ballroom will begin. President Trump and other donors have generously committed to donating the funds necessary to build this approximately $200 million structure. Of course, he’s building a ballroom because when you’re asking Americans to pay more and at the same time throwing money at a completely unnecessary, lavish renovation, you need a designated room for your balls. And all these fiscal conservatives who love to preach that American taxpayers are always top of mind. Yesterday, Senator Chris Murphy proposed an amendment to the annual defense budget bill that said, “Hey, you know that Qatari jet that’s going to cost American taxpayers a billion dollars to retrofit, even though the current plane is doing just fine and Boeing has a new Air Force One in its manufacturing pipeline?” Well, what if Congress put in writing that come 2029, Trump wasn’t allowed to take it with him at the end of his second term, which is totally something that he would do. And guess what? Every single Republican voted against it. Senator Mark Wayne Mullen even came out and said the president has never came out and said that he’s putting it this in his library. He said it as a joke one time. Hm. Okay, let’s have a look at that joke, shall we? I don’t get it. Someday it’ll be like Ronald Reagan. They decommission them. You know, they get to a certain age, they decommission them. Uh it’ll go to my library. I stand corrected. You know, come to think of it, maybe, just maybe, the reality is Donald Trump, his entire administration, and all of these sickopantic Republicans that jockey for a seat on his lap don’t really care about people who aren’t rich. When food assistance programs get cut, when Medicaid gets cut, when rural hospitals close down, and when iPhones suddenly cost more money, the wealthiest Americans are the least affected. This president doesn’t live in reality. real people’s lives are being affected by his party’s callous behavior toward everyday Americans. And all he can say is, “We’re the hottest country anywhere in the world.” If that’s the case, then we are begging for a fire extinguisher. [Music]
