They are edible, and are ripe when they fall. Not as delicious as the passion fruit bred for eating but apparently nice enough.
The flowers are very beautiful. I have one in my garden.
Fruit is my passion
It’s an ornamental variety but still edible. A homeless dude used to eat all of my ones, which didn’t really bother me as I had no use for them.
I’ve seen these everywhere in my neighbourhood and didn’t know what they where! About to start collecting them
Yep, wait until the skin starts to get wrinkly, gently pull, and if they just come off the plant with barely any resistance, they’re ready. Different varieties taste different, and the ones we grow here aren’t as nice. But definitely still edible
I was meant to google what this fruit was after seeing a bush full of it on my drop-off at the childminder walk! Thank you for saving the google servers and validating my doomscrolling!
