Weather-wise, July was an average month for Quesnel.
Matt Loney, an meteorologist with Environment Canada told Black Press Media that Quesnel was quite normal temperature-wise in July but it was a bit drier than normal.
The average temperature in Quesnel for the month of July was 17 C. With the mini heatwave in the less few days of the month, it brought July’s average temperature to 17.1 C.
Additionally, while it was drier than in July, Loney said the participation still falls within a normal range.
“We were about 77 per cent of normal so it’s within we would term normal range,” said Loney, who added anything 75 per cent and lower is out of the normal range.
In July, Quesnel experienced 52.3 mm of rain. The average for July is 67.6 mm.
