  1. That’s a bap. A square slice belongs on a proper Scottish morning roll.

  2. Anymore than 0.75cm thick ruins the ratio. That lorne needs split over 3 rolls.

    Just as bad when Scotmid insists on giving 2 pieces of lorne in one roll.

  4. Morrisons were selling big slabs of Lorne the other day. I was very tempted to have some Lorne rolls with a big slab like this.

    My uncle used to have highland cows and the Lorne we got off him was cut like that and tasted amazing.

  9. I think maybe the lorne has kind of curled up at one end, and makes it look thicker from the front than it is.

  12. A bit of an aside here !
    Got a roll with bacon out of Greggs the other day !
    The dude grabbed some bacon with his tongs and tossed it on the roll !
    6 slices of bacon !
    Some may say a bargain I say a bit much !
    I don’t think he was being nice to me !
    He just couldn’t be arsed sorting it out !
    Took 3 slices off and had to bin them coz my dog died last Xmas!
    Dogs are good at recycling 😂
